Hi Fabian,

It is ok. There are a few better products out there. I know of one that is very high quality and you can create unlimited amounts of hip hop beats, sounds, etc. It is also under 30 bucks and you control everything on your computer. I suggest a good recording mic for voice. Try a recording mic from Sennheiser. Good luck in all your music creating Fabian,

to record guitar and bass and vocal ect do you need an audio interface to plug into the computer?

I can find how to drag and paste and I’ve seen how to copy and paste, my only issue is how do I actually select the frames I want copied so I can paste them again? I’m basically trying to loop a song. It’s only one verse, right now, and I need to extend it to three verses

  5. SpreadLoveLikeSex says:

@dgmlxbl Just follow what i put before. It’s pretty simple.

@rockthesenuts666 I had the same problem. I easily fixed it. You go to your control panel. Then go to “hardware and sound”, then “Sound”. A list of playback will be available. Just test them all (With your mic plugged in). When you can hear one while your mic is plugged in, change that one to your default and your all set. If this is to complicated to read, PM and i can make a short, quick video for you.

My laptop’s audio goes completely away when i connect the guitar jack to the USB. Plus I can’t hear my guitar being playing when it’s connected and I chose the input method. I tried left and right mono but nothing sounds. HELP!!!!

  10. pershingslim says:

I hook my guitar with the drive and insert it into an open drive and it doesn’t allow play.
Is there any options for me to do. Becuz i can’t find the drive in my computer.

Can some PLEASE tell me how I can find my microphones to add to a track’s input? I mean I can only find the microphones on my laptop not my audio interface, for my interface i have the Saffire PRO 40, 7 microphones attached and im wondering how to select them. Cakewalk tech support is takiing a day or two to respond with the same thing, they keep telling me to select a sound playback device which isnt my problem.

My problem….I’ve got a USB plug that came with the software, and it has a 1/4″ input at the end. I plug the input into the speaker jack on my amp (because I wanna use my tube amp and my own effects pedals to record.) When I try to record, it has one of the following outcomes: 1) it’s either too loud and distorted (I’ve played with the settings on my amp and it doesn’t do anything). Or 2) it will record the guitar, but it will sound like it’s unplugged anyway. How can I fix this so it is clear?

  14. TIMLILPG says:

@CakewalkSoftware Yeah,I’m having that same problem I can hear the track I’m recording over when the usb microphone is plugged in.And I need to hear the track as I speak over the track while recording.HELP please.

  15. SpreadLoveLikeSex says:

@CakewalkSoftware I’m using a “Mic Mate” to plug my “Shure Sm57″ into my USB port, but whenever i do i lose all sound from my computer. As soon as i uplug it from my USB port all the sound returns like nothing was ever wrong. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks.

@PSYCHEDELIKSOUL I have the same problem, i dont understand — its a guitar jack on one end, and a usb plug-in at the other end. also, i cant find the usb-to-guitar cable on the input drop down selector, so i cant input the sound from my guitar… help?

Hello cakewalk, I know this may not be the best place to send issues but I’ve sent an e-mail recently and it was like if a robot answered. It isn’t solved my problem..
so there it is; I can’t figure out how to make my software actually *see* my Softsynth. This is really annoying and I wasn’t able to record anything yet. I have the MS-20 and Polysix from korg Legacy. So a video on what are the steps to do this would be Really Nice.

    Thank you
