Same day music question by Dana K: Why does Publix supermarket play the same exact music playlist every single day?
I have worked for them about two months, they played every song exactly the same. I feel like Bill Murray’s character in the movie Groundhog Day. Why they can not be changed it a bit. Enough is enough. It is driving me insane.

It’s satellite radio and has a general playlist of like 20 or so songs. And according to corporate, even though they have the ability to change to another station, there not supposed to. All I can say is do it like me. Once the clock hits 11 I tape my iPhone to a store phone and hit the intercom button
Also the reason they play those kinds of songs is because a while back apparently there was a study done and they found out if they play slow music it makes people walk slower then in turn keeping them in the store longer which make them buy more things. Fast music has the complete opposite effect. It’s all about the sales…
